Building a whole heart for children born with half: Q&A with a cardiac surgeon

This article is from July of 2013 and talks about a new surgery for children that have hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS), which is basically the opposite of Tuckers heart anatomy. HLHS babies generally will get the same three surgery’s that the tricuspid atresia babies receive.  It features Tuckers cardiac surgeon Dr. Sitaram Emani , who is also the assistant professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School.
