8pm We tried all night to keep him awake and moving as much as possible. Dr Emani mentioned that he could have been extubated too soon, sometimes when they cant keep the toddlers under sedation, they pull it for safety reasons. Since he was breathing through his sedation they made a quick call to extubate. Now, Tucker is struggling while they are decreasing his oxygen. They have weened from 3-4 liters down to 2liters. The problem with this is that he is continuing to be relying on the O2 and taking very shallow breaths. They believe that he could still be in some unmanageable pain, so they have given him a dose of oxycodone and a Tylenol suppository, hopefully we will get a few hours to sleep tonight.
This is the best sign ever!
For all of my brunch bunch ladies...saw this on the way to Starbucks this afternoon. I was the only one of the sidewalk, nothing was above it, no trees no lines, nothing. It just fell out of the sky and landed right in front of me on the sidewalk. :o)

A few months ago, I (Mommy) tried to get another lamby. Tucker carries this stuffed animal around everywhere. Since I am a major germ-a-phobe, this makes my skin crawl. We washed him once and he almost fell apart. From time to time I have been known to spray him down with Lysol. (My fellow heart mom's will totally understand) In the nature of preserving my childs most favorite animal on earth, I have searched high and low for a duplicate for it. There is one man selling this lamb, USED (which is just not an option for us) on eBay. I think its cost is between 39.99-49.99. During my investigation I noticed that he does this with all types of used stuffed animals. YUP...This person profits off of parents who need a special toy for their child. You sir! There is a very special place in the pit of hell for people like you!

10pm Another setback, Since he is not outputting anything now through his tubes, and hasn't taken anything by mouth since 6pm, he just got himself an IV drip for the night. SO frustrated that we seem to be going backwards!!!!!!

Be patient my friend....there are bound to be some hiccups! He is stronger than we will ever know! Love you

My heart goes out to all of you. I know you'll get through this terrible ordeal, but it's so draining when you're running on empty and have no choice but to sit, watch and wait... Tucker's proven time and again that he's a trooper. You'll get over this hurdle and forge forward to the next challenge! Love you all and wish I could be there to give you a hug and hold your hand
