We checked in on floor 3, the surgical floor. While we were waiting in the waiting room, he played with two teens who he wouldn't leave alone. They were waiting for their sister who was in surgery. He was just so happy to play for a while with them.
This is the waiting area for the surgical floor. So intimidating, and perfect for pacing.
We were brought into the surgical waiting area, where we had to hold him down so they could put the bands on his legs. He was so feisty that they are forgoing all other vitals until he is sedated.
A wonderful Child Lofe specialist just showed up hearing Tucker's screams and brought him a bunch of toys and a Dora book. We love our child life specialists!
Just met with anesthesia, the kedamine and versed was given but not without resistance from our little boy. Gary and only one anesthesiologist were victims.
Tucker got increasingly sleepy and we transitioned from us to the OR charge RN Ginny, she talked to him and they laughed about giraffe and lamby having ID bracelets as well.
Gary and I kissed our little boy and off he went with the surgical team.
Gary and I were escorted to the clinical liaison where we leave our phone numbers and they will call us with the following updates.
1. Dr Emani, making the incision
2. When he is placed on the heart and lung bypass machine.
3. When he comes off the bypass machine.
4. Lastly, after Dr. Emani closes and he is sew up.

Love you guys. I am waiting for any updates! These photos make me cry, such a brave boy.
